After today there are only 80 days left of my undergraduate career. In 80 days college will be over and I'll officially be a graduate. This concept seems a bit unreal but also really exciting!
Although time is flying by faster than I could have ever expected I don't think there could have been a better time for me to graduate. I'm graduating right in the middle of an exciting political time. With midterm elections only 9 months way I couldn't be more excited. I can't wait to get right into the wonderful world of political campaigning.
Over the semester break this year I spent some time in Washington DC and what I learned from my time there this year was that campaigning is my favorite part of politics, so needless to say I can't wait to get started this year! I'm looking forward to and started contacting the campaign to elect CT's Attorney General, Richard Blumenthal, to the United States Senate. I have grown up watching the Attorney General fight for the people of CT so when he announced his candidacy for Senator Christopher Dodd's seat in the Senate I couldn't have been more excited.
The next year holds a lot of uncertainty but it also holds promise of an exciting time and I can't wait to see what opportunities present themselves. Look out world Chelsey Hood is about to graduate!!!
